Do I Need a Massachusetts Notary Stamp?

Massachusetts Notary Stamps – Yes! Required

According to Revised Executive Order No. 455 (04-04), all Massachusetts notarizations require the use of an official seal. Do so using either an inked stamp or seal embosser.

If choosing a stamp, your ink color must be black. Specifications regarding shape and dimensions are left open. Other states may have such requirements defined. Reference a corresponding guide if you plan to do business outside Massachusetts.

Your official Massachusetts stamp or embosser will include the notary’s name, an image of the Great Seal of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the words “Notary Public”, “Commonwealth of Massachusetts” or “Massachusetts”, and either “My Commission Expires On [+ Date]” or “Commission Expires On [+Date]”. Four pieces of information total. Contact an appropriate vendor.
